“Rhythm For A Cause” is a charity concert of Noori, all the proceeds of which will be used for the relief efforts for the flood victims of Pakistan.
The concert is part of EME Olympiad’s Social Events Ticket that can be availed by anyone who is a student of a university/college/school.

‘Form’, the fourth episode of COKE STUDIO 3, features folk music traditions of varied flavours, local and exotic, sedate and grandiose, with the only exception being the inclusion of a pop-rock number.
Noori opens ‘Form’ with ‘Hor Vi Neevan Ho’, an evocative tribute to the legendary folk singer Hamid Ali Bela. Inspired from a rare, publicly unheard recording of Bela, the rendition sees the Noori boys (Ali Noor and Ali Hamza) collaborate with their mother Noor Zehra Kazim as she brings the unique music instrument sagar veena to the Coke Studio platform.

Noori‘s long awaited 3rd album ‘Rahi Yahan Kay‘ is slated for release in September 2010. It was previously named as ‘Begum Gul Baqoli Sarfarosh‘ but the band has now changed it to ‘Rahi Yahan Kay’ The band will be regularly updating the fans on the progress of the album. keep visiting www.nooriworld.net for more info.
After a hiatus of five years, Noori will finally release its third studio album this fall as the album is in its final stages of production. The band is super excited and will be sharing the last leg of the journey along with their fans as well as continue to upload video blogs and other behind-the-scene goodies on the website. Noori has signed up with Walls as their brand ambassadors for the year 2010 and this merger is celebrated by a brand new song JHOOM LAY accompanied by a video!
“Jhoom Lay” has been composed by NOORI in collaboration with noted music director Shuja Haider. The lyrics have been penned by Mr. Irfan Khan who is the Executive Creative Director for Lowe and Rauf. With this song, NOORI makes a comeback to the mainstream after few great performances in the second season of COKE STUDIO.
Jhoom Lay video, which is shot in Bangkok by Ahsan Rahim, is easily NOORI’s biggest to date. The plot of the video revolves around two brothers who are portraying the two flavours of Walls Cornetto. Ali Hamza gets the spotlight this time around. Contrary to his image, he is portrayed as the fun loving, ‘milk chocolate’ character whereas the Ali Noor, who is usually the face of the band, gets to portray a mature ‘dark chocolate’ character.

NOORI performed the song KEDAAR in the last episode UNITY of COKE STUDIO SEASON 2. KEDAAR is the song which NOORI composed specailly for COKE STUDIO performance. 'Kedaar' means powerful and invincible and this song speaks of an awakening and a renewed awareness.

NOORI performed their hit track SAARI RAAT in the fourth episode of COKE STUDIO SEASON 2. This track is one of my personal favorite from their album PPARJKGD. NOORI performed this song with guest musician and cousin Rakae Jamil on the Sitar to reinvent rock ballad Sari Raat, originally from their Peeli Patti album. Indeed this was a most unorthodox setting for the sitar and was in general, a challenging song to play. Ali Noor took the lead on power house vocals and Javed Iqbal stole the show with his staccato rock riff/solo on his violin at the end of this rock number.
