ROCK A NATION is the upcoming debut studio album by Islamabad based Rock Musician, OSMAN KHAN. The album is due to be released in 2011.
Regarding the album title, Osman Khan revealed that "It's about Reshaping Rock Music Industry,Something Wild to happen. Whether that Something Wild is the current state of the music industry, my personal troubles, or even my birth, is the product of all of those things put together. I've been putting out free music for a long time, but I've been saving the best ideas and concepts for this."

YES! the very famous JAL The Band and with Gohar Mumtaz, Farhan Saeed and their third bassist Shazi got separated. This is not new with this band since the beginning. From the starting days with a wonder hit Aadat and band members Atif Aslam and Gohar Mumtaz, the band got into all sort of controversies and both Atif Aslam and Gohar Mumtaz played the blame game and got parted ways just after 1 song and video. Both Atif Aslam and the remaining Jal The Band released their albums and become an instant hit in Pakistan and abroad.
After their first album release yet again JAL the band came into the news for all the wrong reasons. This time they had a fight with their manager and chairman of the Jilawatan Productions Khurram Khan and Gohar Mumtaz again. Gohar insisted the band to visit India without their manager since he cannot afford to miss this golden opportunity. And now its between Farhan Saeed and Gohar Mumtaz. We have been told by the sources that Farhan Saeed is quite upset with the fact that Gohar Mumtaz is acting as a big hurdle in his success and keeping him down. Farhan Saeed having a charming voice with amazing numbers coming out from his side since his inclusion in the band however Gohar Mumtaz always jumped in with his rather out of tone voice and shivering guitar cords. Both Farhan and Goher recently participated in Coke Studio’s season 4 with 2 songs under their name. However both songs unable to make any impression within the program itself and gone with the wind.
According to sources the rift between the band members got to another level after the Coke Studio episode and in Farhan’s opinion Gohar never listen to his ideas about doing music instead he was more interested into to get with Miss Baloch and therefore he insisted the producer to add her up for a song. However Farhan told us with a grin that QB was a smart girl and she knows well the type of Gohar Mumtaz. Farhan said he think that we can do allot better in Coke Studio if he gets more air time with the mic. Another major reason for Farhan’s depart is that Gohar has recently appeared in a drama on a-plus and he want to persue a career in acting as well.
Farhan said he want to continue making music and would like to work on his solo album in some time. He added that he has cherishable memories with the band and JAL the band was his identity and he will be always close to his heart. But it is very hard to work with a self centered punk as Gohar Mumtaz and that leads me to this decision.

On 19 June 2011, the Coke Studio journey continues through time with Episode 3, presenting a cross section of genres and artists representing generations of listeners. Performances in Episode 3 will outline a history - from the diversity of music that defines the present to flavors from the recent history of contemporary music and on to the sounds that are a part of our cultural heritage.
Tracing the inspiration of some of today’s music back to an ancient source, this episode will feature Mole’s “Baageshri” - an experimental fusion track where the band has utilized modern tools of technology side by side with eastern and westerns instruments to achieve a unique sound – a first for Coke Studio.
Artist Sanam Marvi also features in this episode, embracing the deeply spiritual poetry of Sachal Sarmast with “Ith Naheen”. With an ambient lounge feel, Sanam projects the force of the powerful verses through her expression, diction and delivery crafted in the manner of a sound-scape.
Episode 3 also brings back young talent Bilal Khan with his original “Lamha” - a dark, brooding song that expresses both lyrically and musically, an emotional response to loss. The song features a pronounced dholak groove that builds up to a dhamaal-like fervor as the emotional temperature rises, yet remains appropriately unresolved to the end of the song.
Jal returns to Coke Studio in Episode 3 with an experimental version of “Panchi” for which the band has collaborated with promising new singer Quratulain Baloch as they take a nostalgic trip down memory lane to Jal’s very first encounter with fusion – “Tere Ishq Mein jo bhi Doob Gaya”.
Following a path that began with “Sighra Aaween Saanwal Yaar” in Episode 1 and continued in Episode 2 with “Kanga”, Episode 3 will present a fusion performance by one of the custodians of the ancient art-form of eastern classical music – Ustaad Naseer-ud-din Saami. “Mundari” is a classical piece in the raag, Adana – a raag that is known to have the effect of holding a listener captive by its beauty and for the bitter-sweet emotion that it can invoke. This rendition will be an imaginative and creative performance by Ustaad Saami where Coke Studio has combined Eastern classical music with Western accompaniment adhering to the requirements of the art-form.
With the airing of Episode 3, Coke Studio will cross the half-way mark of the season’s musical journey with the boundaries of fusion receding to afford a clear insight into our musical past and a glimpse of the unlimited possibilities ahead. JAL THE BAND recently posted an image of RABBI SHERGILL jamming with GOHAR MUMTAZ in a casual session. Seems like JAL THE BAND and RABBI are gonna perform together in the COKE STUDIO Season 4.

COKE STUDIO Season 4 is gonna start from 22nd May, 2011. COKE STUDIO officially announced it on their facebook page.
The improvement in first series of COKE STUDIO INDIA is also going on and SHAFQAT AMANAT ALI is gonna perform in that for sure. In the COKE STUDIO Season 4 JAL THE BAND, KAILASH KHER and RABBI SHERGIL are confirmed to perform.

METALLICA is gonna perform in India at F1 Rocks on the occasion of the inaugural Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix during October 28-30, 2011, at Greater Noida and Banglore. Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo also mentioned about this concert during an interview to the Blabbermouth.net.
Hope that there wont go anything wrong like the Bryan Adams concert in Delhi last time.

All of these artists already performed in various seasons of Coke Studio and this is the first time that all these artist are gonna perform live together. Coke Studio sessions will be collaborating and performing together with Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Arif Lohar, Saeen Zahoor and Sanam Marvi on a folk/classical musical night with a 22-piece orchestra from across Pakistan.
