Akash is back with the brand new video of the song Koi Tou Ho from the album Pal. The song and video is written, composed,produced and directed by Sam and the female vocals in the song are of Nish.

Few months back, THE MAX PROJECT released the debut track DHUAAN featuring SAM (AKASH THE BAND) and NASIR (LAGAN THE BAND) . And now, THE MAX PROJECT is out with the music video of the song KYA HUA featuring again SAM (AKASH THE BAND)....... It is a nice video and talks about the current scenario of their country.

Lahore-based rock band AKASH recently returned from a highly successful tour of India. Akash is famous for their thrilling live performances and that was the very reason they were invited to perform a number of shows across the border.
As Sam puts it, “The Indian Tour was quite exciting and surely more than what we had expected. Over all, we performed four shows in India; one in Punjab, three in Delhi but we decided not to play in December because of the tense situation between India and Pakistan. We now think that we made a wise decision regarding the cancellation of the shows.”
During the tour, Akash also represented Pakistan at the 9th International Children’s Festival of Performing Arts. They unfortunately could not represent Pakistan on World Aids Day in India because of the tense scenario but the band hopes to perform next time whenever it happens.
All the Akash’s shows were sold out and hit in every aspect. The four-member band played hit songs like their identity rock extravaganza, Ji Liya, sensational Armaan, melodious Aaj Phir and covers like Lal Meri Pat & Dosti in Akash’s signature style.
Expressing his feelings regarding the tour, Sam excitedly said, “We surely cannot forget the response we got from the crowd. An artist can only dream of such a response but for us it turned out to be a reality. No matter what was happening in Mumbai (political issues), Indian people gave us a lot of respect and love that we will remember for the rest of our lives. We also gave interviews to their top newspapers in fact one news channel even made made a 1-hour documentary on Akash.”

MUSTUFA ZAHID of ROXEN THE BAND and AKASH THE BAND performed the hit song JI LIYA of AKASH THE BAND, together and like always SAM added the cover of DOSTI in this performance... It was a rocking performance from SAM...His performance on guitar was just mind blowing and like always MUTUFA ZAHID was not that much good on vocals in this live performance.... Well the video is of not much good quality but the audio is still clear. So watch this rocking performance of MUTUFA ZAHID and SAM...

WAQAR of RAAH THE BAND made a cover of the song JI LIYA of AKASH THE BAND. It is a home made rough recording , may be a camera phone as frame rate is really low. But still you can listen the track clearly and that is the important thing as Waqar performed the guitar brilliantly in this cover performance....Soon RAAH THE BAND is going to release their second track Intezar but for now you can watch this video from RAAH THE BAND.

Few days before i made a post about the SUMMER JAM 2008 in which few big names of Pakistani music industry like AKASH THE BAND, MIZAMAAR, TALAB, GUNAAH etc. performed and i got the whole detail of that concert. So i am sharing that with you. Hope that soon i will get the video of that concert also. HASSAN of GUNAAH promiced me that the moment he will get the video, he will share that with me.......Well for now here is the details of the SUMMER JAM 2008.
Putting up a good rock show is a tough job. But when the line-up features quality bands like Mizmaar and Akash alongside talented underground acts such as Gunaah, Soul Touch and Talab, the evening is supposed to be a musical extravaganza.
The concert was organized by a growing event management company at a local club. Thankfully, the arrangements were made in an auditorium which was a sigh of relief for the audience and the musicians as summer is in full swing these days. The crowd at the gig mainly consisted of zealous youngsters who were ready for some serious head banging coming their way.
Talab:
The evening got underway with the performance of a rising band, Talab. The band had a brief stint on stage but they managed to arouse the crowd. Their opening number was a Him cover, Wicked Games, followed by an impressive recital of Sajjad Ali's Bolo Bolo.
Soul Touch:
The second act, Soul Touch, featured a female vocalist, Ghazal, who had a very sultry voice, and Yaseen. They started the proceedings with an Eagles cover, Hotel California, which pumped up the energy amongst the audience. However, the band sedated the scene with an excellent cover rendition of Roxen's Tera Mera Rishta.
Gunaah:
Gunaah is an upcoming band that is witnessed performing widely on the local circuit. It features Hassan (vocals), Bilal (rhythms), Zain (lead guitars), Yasir (bass) and Qumber (drums). The boys possess all the rudimentary elements that a band requires to make it to the mainstream circuit. Their gig kicked off with a cover of Neil Young’s evergreen number Keep Rocking In The Free where vocalist Hassan was in top form. A serene Noori cover, Dobara Phir Se was performed next to perfection with finesse. The highlight of Gunaah's gig was their original number, Sard Raatein, which aroused and received plaudits from the attendees. The funky cover of Mauj’s Pehliyan was also an exuberant rendition while Ali Azmat's Neend Ati Nahin brought their gig to a halt. In my view, Gunaah was arguably the best amongst the other underground acts.
Akash:
After back to back underground acts, it was time for the mainstream bands to show their mettle and first one to do so was Lahore based rock band, Akash. They blasted off their gig with a cover of Ali Azmat's cover Neend Ati Nahin followed by their somber number, Ji Liya. Sam is a rousing live performer and was simply immaculate on this one. Then arrived my favourite part in any Akash gig - Junoon's medley. Sam received massive applause on the track as he launched into another crowd pleaser, Armaan. Akash ended their gig was a pure rock’n’roll treat, Da Teen Char Song.
Mizmaar:
The main act of the concert was pop rock band, Mizmaar. The band squandered no time in igniting the show with their signature opening number, Pal. I especially love Kashan's miraculous extended guitar solo on the track that spreads the message of living life to the fullest and for the moment. A rambunctious rock version of Dil Ki Tarah wooed the crowd on their toes and some of the zealots began head banging.
Daniyal then got off the stage on Bon Jovi's cover It’s My Life which was an epitome of the original track. Sajna was another faultless rock performance that flabbergasted the crowd while their hit track, Sitara, ended the evening on a high note and proved Mizmaar's image as a compelling band.

I got one song of the live performance of the AKASH THE BAND, at the album launch show of their debut album AKS. The song is MAA from the movie TAARE ZAMEEN PE. It also shows that in Pakistan , Indian movies are really very popular as in India, Pakistani songs are popular.....
Sam dedicated this song to his mother.... It was really a perfect moment to dedicate a song like that to her.

On this 15th, Krazy Front Productions organised the “SUMMER JAM 2008″. The punch line for that concert was "This ain’t nothing but a summer jam
We’re gonna party as much as we can."
I got this news from buddy Hassan (Vocalistand Guitarist of the band GUNAAH) but as i was busy in my exams , so i was not able to make a post about it. That is why i am making the post about Summer Jam now and hope that soon i will get the video and audiso of that performnace of AKASH THE BAND, MIZRAAB (Special performance), MIRAGE, SOUTH TOUCH, GUNAAH and TALAB ( i love this name ).

AKASH THE BAND is back again with a new single. This single is not for their album but for the Pakistani radio channel FM121. This jingle is a good one with a strong backing vocals in the track. In fact , it is the loud backing vocals which makes this song a different and good one.....Well listen this track until AKASH THE BAND is not going to release any other track...lolz

AKASH THE BAND performed there in concert called GIG NIGHT at Lawerence Open Air Theatre on 8th march....Few minutes back when i logged in my Orkut account,i got in the updates that SAM (AKASH THE BAND) uploaded the pix of that concert in his profile...So this time i am just posting the pix of that performance.Few more pix of there of some other concert.I will post those pix next time....Enjoy

AKASH THE BAND performed at Alhamra Open Air Theatre in the concert 3 ACE's....Last time in 3 Ace's there were Atif,Ali Azamat and Aieny but this time i think Atif and Ali Azamat were there.Who was the third ace of that concert,i do not know....Check the pix of that concert.Sam was wearing a Super Man shirt and performed like a Super Man.Just watch his energy level in these pix

Umar of KAIN THE BAND is now also a member of the band The Max Project....Umer and Max,formed this band together,which is a rap and hip hop one....They released their debut track Dhuan with Sam (AKASH THE BAND) and Nabeel (LAGAN THE BAND) and that song is getting popularity....Umar also featured in ROCK FUNDA (AKASH THE BAND) for a rap solo and that was a big hit....So hope that this time THE MAX PROJECT will also create some magic in the music world...

As last time i posted about AKASH THE BAND that they are going to release their debut album AKS oficially on 25th,this time i am posting the pictures of that launch show.That music launch show of AKS was the Pakistani music channel THE MUSIK.AKASH THE BAND also peformed on the occassion of that....Fiz was in the very same T-shirt in which he performed on 3 Ace's concert and hair style was also very much same to that....Kenny was sporting a goaty.That is a new change in our favorite ENERGY MACHINE...Sam was in his new spiked hairdo and Miki was as usual,as a Rock Star in his long hair

Yesterday there was the official music launch of the debut album AKS of AKASH THE BAND....
That album is released earlier but due to some political problems and the bomb blasts there in Pakistan,they did not launch the album officially.So after a long time ,yesterday that thing happened.
As soon as i will get the pix or video of that launch show,i will share with all of you guys here in this blog...
