PRETEND TO BE : JEHANGIR AZIZ HAYAT

Jehangir Aziz Hayat - Pretend to Be

"Read Between the Lines" is a blend of aggressive tones merged with the sobriety of Jehangir's vocals. The album itself crafts hostile riffs along with some more mellow melodies. Most of the songs in the album define Jehangir's outlook on his father's life. The frustrated tone within "Bringing Me Down" and "See You Soon" brings out a new colour within South Asia's music industry, whereas tracks like "Pretend to Be" and "Light the Fuse" bring out a more personal feeling of strong emotion to the listener. If you like a nice blend of Nirvana, Megadeth and Pantera, then this is the album for you.

Lyrics - PRETEND TO BE : JEHANGIR AZIZ HAYAT

(Verse: 1)

Standing still,
Feeding the cold,
Binding meaning,
To serve the soul,

(Chorus)

Can we pretend to be?
When our souls aren't free?

(Verse: 2)

Drifting away,
To a distant place,
We'll mould the clay,
And start a new day,

Chorus

Bridge
I'm breaking apart the pieces today,
I'm pushing,
I'm pushing 'em so far away,

Bridge
All the thoughts are dead,
Are you still alive?

Bridge:
I'll fill up the spaces,
With what's left to feel,
I'll bury the dead,
And feed on what's to be,

(Verse: 3)

Follow the trail,
To trace out the faith,
Let the rivers fill,
And wash away the hate,

(Chorus)
(Bridge)

KEEP ROCKING
