The Independence Rock XXIV Schedule :-
- Call for Band participation entries : 10th June 2009 .
- Last date for entries : 5th July 2009 .
- Selection for 8 regional Quarter Finalists & announcement of results : 10th July 2009 .
- From 8 Regional selected bands at city pubs , 4 regional Semi Finalists selected .
- From 4 regional Semi Finalists selected , 1 regional finalist selected for National Final at Mumbai .
- Finals in Mumbai for Independence Rock XXIV National Winners .
- Winners Victory Lap .
• Rules & Regulations for Contest Participation :-
The selected bands at any stage of the contest will have to make themselves available for the contest schedule.
• Format of demo can be CD or Tape .
• Judging format & criteria for demos will be 2 original composition & 1 cover OR 3 original compositions . Rock music will be preferred .
• The selected outstationed bands will be paid a stipend for their travel/food/stay at every qualifying stage. The stipend will be announced to the qualifying bands .
• The qualifying bands will be required to blog , upload , viral as per further communication .
• Prizes for the winning band would range from Rs. 50000 to Rs. 100000 .
• Qualifying bands would be required for press , photo ops , appearances for sponsors .
• All qualifying bands will assign their audio & video mechanical & exploitation rights only of their Independence Rock performance to E18 .

You have many articles here.
I have one question.
One of my favourite groups is Oswald from UK, you can visit their web-site http://www.official.oswaldtheband.com and listen to tracks, watch videos, etc.
The question is what style of music is it?
Rock? Indie rock? Alternative? Post rock? Mainstream rock? I think it is indie rock but sometimes it is hard to classify. What do you think?

I checked the site of this band and also tried to listen few songs. Their genre is Indie Rock and they are really good. . . Thanks for the introduction of the band, OSWALD.

I also think that Oswald is Indie Rock. But many people say that Indie Bands must be unsigned and connected with any label.
